These Awards are organised by Lewisham CEPN Training Hub with colleagues and leads from Lewisham ICB and will recognise the outstanding contribution of staff working in general practice in Lewisham and are an exciting opportunity to celebrate with colleagues, as well as showcase and award teams and individuals

And new for 2025/26 we will be awarding an Inspiring Leader Award. This is for someone who has demonstrated exceptional leadership that motivates and empowers others to achieve their best. The award recognises not just results but how those results are achieved - through vision, empathy, integrity and the ability to inspire positive change.

We will also once again be running a People’s Choice Award, with nominations to be made directly by the public using the following link: People's Choice Award nomination or scanning the QR code on the poster opposite,
Nominations will be assessed based on impact, quality, improved patient experience and innovation.
The deadline for all nominations is Sunday 14th December 2025.
The judging panel for the awards is as follows;
SEL ICB Lewisham Place Safeguarding Children Team invites you to attend essential online Safeguarding Primary Care Training on December 16th from 13:45 to 17:30
The training is designed to help you fulfill your statutory responsibility to keep children safe.
It will provide you with the latest updates on safeguarding review findings, a range of topics on safeguarding and changes in legislations.
This training is crucial for all staff members, both clinical and non-clinical and will contribute to your training needs.
By attending this training, you will gain valuable insights and knowledge adding to your existing practice to ensure the safety and well-being of children in your care.
Teams link will be provided along with the full programme in due course.
This PLT will be a face-to-face event held at The Broadway Theatre, Catford

Patients specifically from Modality and Sevenfields PCNs are invited to drop-in at the event for free and friendly diabetes information.
Exhibitors will include; Diabetes UK, Dieticians, Podiatrists, Health & Wellbeing Coach, Social Prescribers, GPs, GPNs, Pharmacists, Diabetic Eye Screening and Smoke Free Lewisham.
Attendees will be able to see how the diabetes app may help to manage their diabetes.
Thanks to all who made the night a success including our amazing magician Simon, delicious food from Taste Like Home in Catford, DJ Dave, the generous hospitality once again of all at the Rivoli Ballroom and of course those of you who supported and attended the event!

Many congratulations to Debbie Brown, SELWDH's Director of Nursing and our very own incredible Clinical Director, for her well-deserved spot on the 2024 MBE Honours List.
This is an enormous and much deserved achievement in recognition of Debbie's outstanding service to general practice nursing.
Debbie is an experienced nurse of over 47 years, almost 30 of which have been spent in primary care, within general practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Debbie founded Lewisham CEPN Training Hub in 2017 to provide a range of training and development opportunities for all staff groups.
Debbie was born and raised in Lewisham, trained at Lewisham Hospital, continues to work in Lewisham and is passionate about the borough and the people who live and work here.
Debbie is shown on the right, following receiving her MBE from Princess Anne on Wednesday 17th April 2024.

In addition, Dr Yog Malik and practice nurse, Anne-Marie Brennan, were recognised for their long service in the NHS and Dr Yog Malik also in relation to his long service specifically to Lewisham. We celebrate and thank them for their dedication.
